The Advocacy & Intelligence Index for POWs-MIAs.   This is one of the best places in the world for POW/MIA information.   Be sure to bookmark the InterNetwork which is a page of current POW-MIA news that's posted on a daily basis.  Besides current daily news, you will find reports, testimony, statements, depositions, documents, articles, lists, updates and announcements on POWs and MIAs from all wars.  AIIPOW-MIA is a huge archive site.   Special thanks to Andi Wolos and Bob Necci for this great site !

The POW Network is another great Internet site for POW/MIA resources that's jam packed with information. They have biographies on Vietnam and later POWs & MIAs that are reported better than the DoD file info. You will find names and statistics on all POWs since Vietnam, and an extensive section reporting on Veteran and Military Service fakes, frauds, and phonies.   Since 1989, the POW Network has been dedicated to information distribution on our Prisoners of War and Missing in Action.    Chuck and Mary Schantag have been good friends to Rolling Thunder and POW activists, and we appreciate all their help and hard work so much !  Be sure and check out the Phonies section... you will be amazed at how many there are.

POW/MIA Recognition Day

The site of the Defense Prisoner of War / Missing Personnel Office (DPMO).   There's information at this site in database form on POWs and MIAs from Korea, Cold War and Vietnam.    A "News" page has some valuable links.   Also check out their POW Recognition Day page for downloadable posters.

Very disappointing that DPMO doesn't do more in resolving the question of what happened to our POWs known to be alive rather than concentrating mainly on remains recovery.  They have done a GREAT job of remains recovery,  but their "Vision" is stated as: "Develop, implement, and maintain a joint system for live recovery of isolated personnel, rapid post-hostility accounting and remains identification."  

LIVE RECOVERY ?   So where are the POWs that were held by the Pathet Lao and not released during Operation Homecoming ?   How come the only "live recovery" (Bobby Garwood) was not debriefed as an intelligence source upon his return ?   Where is Scott Speicher and why was he abandoned ?   We deserve more than we are getting from this agency funded by our tax dollars and a part of OUR government.   We need some accountability !    Questions need to be answered.

The DPMO mission is "to achieve the fullest possible accounting of our missing in action -- from all wars".   Case-specific information from DPMO, both classified and unclassified, is available to the primary next-of-kin of our missing Americans... but are the families getting ALL the information they are entitled to under the law ?    See the next link:  " NO TRUTH ? ~ NO HONOR ! POW/MIA Freedom of Information Act Litigation Account.   Roger Hall has filed suit to gain access to records concerning POWs in Southeast Asis (Vietnam, Laos, & Cambodia).

During the Senate Select Committee on the Prisoner of War and Missing In Action hearings that adjourned in 1993, the Central Intelligence Agency supplied tens of thousands of documents for the Select Committee to review.

Despite numerous Presidential Executive Orders to declassify all POW/MIA documentation by all government agencies, the Central Intelligence Agency has not complied.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, a suit was filed by Roger with the backing and support of
Col. Ted Guy (former POW) and Carol Hrdlicka (wife of abandoned POW David Hrdlicka), and others to force the Agency to comply with the law.   It has been a long and uphill struggle, but with your help Roger will one day be successful.

The National League of Families of American Prisoners and Missing in Southeast Asia's sole purpose is to obtain the release of all prisoners, the fullest possible accounting for the missing and repatriation of all recoverable remains of those who died serving our nation during the Vietnam War.  Their "Update Line" is helpful with current information.
